More than 80 employees took part in the 8th Nichiden no Mori event on April 11, 2015. The volunteers comprised first-year Nichiden recruits currently in training and employees from the head office, the West Logistics Center, the Central Logistics Center, and branches and sales offices (Higashi-osaka, Himeji, Okayama, Shikoku, Hiroshima, and Komaki). They planted 450 Quercus serrata seedlings, set in place logs for growing shiitake mushrooms, and picked up litter in the area surrounding the Nichiden no Mori forest.
The terrain was steep but the weather was good, as the Nichiden employees successfully completed their targets for the day under the guidance of staff from local governments and the forestry cooperative.
