More than 60 volunteers enjoyed a sunny day of rewarding work in nature at the 6th Nichiden no Mori event on April 12, 2014. First-year Nichiden employees currently in training were among those taking part from our offices in Osaka Prefecture and sales offices (Kobe, Himeji, Okayama, Fukuyama, and Shikoku).
Undeterred by the steep terrain, the participants completed the day's targets as they planted 300 Zelkova serrata seedlings, set in place logs for growing shiitake mushrooms, and picked up litter in the area surrounding the Nichiden no Mori forest. Guidance was provided by staff of local governments and the forestry cooperative.
