Striving to be Japan's top wholesaler of power transmission equipment

January 1952

Nihondendo Co., Ltd. established with the goal of becoming Japan's leading trading company for power transmission equipment (capitalization: 1 million yen).
Rikichi Nishiki appointed President.
Company starts out with two offices in Osaka: Tanimachi Head Office in Minami-ku (present-day Chuo-ku) and Fukushima Sales Office (Fukushima-ku).

June 1957

Capital increased to 4 million yen.
Nichiden Shoho, the industry's first product catalog with price lists, begins publication.

July 1959

Head office relocated to Minami-ku, Osaka (present-day Chuo-ku).

October 1959

Company name changed to Nihondendo-seiki Co., Ltd.
Capital increased to 8 million yen.

February 1961

New head office built on present site.
Multiple warehouses integrated into one. Tanimachi Sales Office closed and Sales Department established at Head Office.

Nagoya Branch opened.
